The 54th Anniversary of Naresuan Police Camp


Anniversary of Naresuan Police CampOn Sunday 27 April 2008 at 09.00, Border Patrol Police Bureau, Airborne Division with Pol.Maj.Gen. Kosin Boonsarng, the Commander of Naresuan Camp, Police Officers from all regions took part in the 54th anniversary ceremony of Naresuan Camp at Ruampol Phanya Field, Airborne Division 2, Border Patrol Police Bureau, Hua Hin, Prachuapkhirikhan.

The ceremony was attended by Pol.Gen. Wasit Detkhunchorn, the former Director-General of the Royal Thai Police, Lt.Gen. Somsak Kwaengsopha, the former Commander of Border Patrol Police Bureau, officials from all sections, soldiers and provincial police officers.

At 07.00, all police officers have gathered at Ruampol Phanya Field, Airborne Division 2, wher the 54th anniversary ceremony took place. All present have paid homage to Romphotong Goddess Shrine, Pol.Gen. Phao Sriyanon’s monument, Spirit house. Wreaths were placed in front of hero’s monument. All four ceremonies were performed at the same time. 

At 10.00, the worshiping ceremony for the King Naresuan was being performed by Pol.Col. Praphan Chan-Aim, Deputy Commander of Airborne Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau. He spoke about the history of the King Naresuan, the Great. 

At the ceremony there was also the honorary guard company on both sides of an elevated platform. Lt.Gen. Niphon Siriwong, the Commander of Border Patrol Police Bureau, Pol.Gen. Wasit Detkhunchorn, the former Director-Generals of the Royal Thai Police, Lt.Gen. Somsak Kwaengsopha, the former Commander of Border Patrol Police Bureau had laid a wreath to pay homage to the King Naresuan Monument. Finally, Pol.Gen. Wichian Photphosri, the Deputy Commander of Border Patrol Police Bureau, laid a wreath in front of the monument before ascending to the platform to accept the honor from the honorary guard company. 

At 10.30, the religious ceremony was taking place at the auditorium. Ten Buddhist monks began to pray and accept meal set. After that Pol.Maj.Gen. Kosin Boonsarng, the Commander of Naresuan Camp, invited all attendants to have a meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
