On Sunday 3 August 2008 HM the King has assigned the Privy Councilor Royal Prince Asani Pramoth to present prizes to winners of Hua Hin Regatta 2008. The closing ceremony took place at Sofitel Centara Resort. Among invited guests were Governor Parnchai Borwarnrathapran, Vice Governor Bongkarkn Lipapan, Pol. General Wirat Watcharakajorn, Chief District Officer Prasit Boonlikit, Hua Hin Mayor Khun Jira Pongpaibul, members of Hua Hin Assembly, Government Officers from the Province and Navy Officers
At about 18:20 Royal Prince Asani Pramoth has arrived to preside over the closing ceremony of Hua Hin Regatta 2008. He was welcomed by Governor and Chief Navy Commander Admiral Satirapan Keyanon.
Admiral Satirapan Keyanon has announced that Hua Hin Regatta 2008 have finished. In the regatta were competing 278 sailors from 13 countries. It was very enjoyable event. He has thanked the Privy Councilor for presiding over the closing ceremony of Hua Hin Regatta 2008 and presenting prizes to the winners.
Vice Admiral Apiwathana Sriwathana, Secretary of the Thailand Sailing Association has called all the winners to come forward to receive the prize from Royal Prince Asani Pramoth.
Next the President of Hua Hin Regatta has thanked Admiral Satirapan Keyanon and staff for organizing Hua Hin Regatta 2008. It was a very exciting event this year. He has congratulated all the winners and has encouraged all sailors which didn’t win this year to try their luck the next year. The closing ceremony was followed by a party.
