On Wednesday 29 October 2008 in the morning at Naresdamri Room of Hua Hin Municipality Hua Hin Lord Mayor Jira Pongpaibul has called press conference regarding organization of Hua Hin Food Festival. At the press conference were present 3 Vice Mayors, Khun Artikhun Bootying, Khun Suwit Lien-Roong-Rueng, and Dr. Roongroa Silueng-Sawasdi, Director of TAT Khun Pinnat Chareonpol, and Khun Kanisn Cholsucharti representing Boon-Rod Trading and Khun Supot Tanprasert representing Sombul-Prom company.
Mayor Jira said that Hua Hin is well known worldwide tourist destination. There are many tourist attractions in the area like for example Pala U waterfall, caves, many golf courses, islands and historical palaces. Hua Hin is proud to preserve Thai custom & culture.
Khun Jira Pongpaibul said that the Hua Hin – Cha Am Association used to arrange the Hua Hin Food Festival. However last food festival was held in 2005 and it is time to restart this important for Hua Hin festival. This festival will promote tourism and help preserve tradition.
This year Hua Hin Food Festival will be held during 5 - 9 December 2008 at the Royal Queen Park between 07.30 p.m – 01:00 a.m.
During the festival there will be opportunity to taste plenty of Thai food and watch many student and professional shows and performances.
This year Hua Hin Food Festival will be sponsored by Boon-Rod Trading, Sombul-Prom Company TAT lead by Khun Pinnat Chareonpol.
Hua Hin Mayor said that he is sure that the Hua Hin Food Festival will be a big success this year.
