Childrens Day at at Thanarachata Camp in Pranburi


Children's Day PranburiOn Saturday 12 January 2008 Major General Niwat Minayotin has organized Children's Day event at the Infantry Center of Thanarachata Camp Pranburi. Children's Day is organized every year at the camp for local residents. Thai people celebrate Children's Day by taking their children out to have fun.

Colonel Arnont Petchkum said that soldiers have prepared playing fields for children where can see army tanks, weapons, light and heavy machine guns. The children can also jump from a tower, climb up the cliff and walk on the rope bridge. For everybody there is beverage and food. Children enjoy this event very much.

Before opening ceremony of the Children's Day Chief Commander Major General Niwat Minayotin and army officers have paid respect to Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana who has died early recently.

After the Children's Day event has been open, General Niwat Minayotin gave to children presents: stationary, exercise books, pencils, pens, rulers, toys.

After breakfast children have had opportunity to see the military equipment, to climb up the cliff and jump from a high tower. This year almost five hundred persons age 4 - 57 year old have jumped from the tower. All the children and parents have had plenty of fun.
