The Banyan VIP Golf Tournament


On Sunday 28 September 2008 the Banyan Golf Course has organized VIP Golf Tournament to celebrate the soft opening of the golf course. This event was organized in association with Hua Hin Today newspaper. Many VIPs from Prachuapkhirikhan have turned up for the tournament.

Among VIPs was former Governor of Prachuapkirikhan Khun Prasong Pitulkitja who is currently The Vice Secretary for HM the King, two Vice Governor; Khun Bongkarn Limprapan, and Khun Pisit Soontrerat, General  Montri Chompoojanthara from Royal Thai Army and Chief District Officer Khun Prasit  Boonlikid.

About100 golfers who come to the Club House were welcomed by former Pol Major General Noy Wanaphaibul who is the chairman of the Banyan Golfers Committee.  He has briefed all golfers and has split them into groups.
               
The program was as follow: 
09:30 Welcome to the participants at the Muilligant’s Pub. Tea, coffee, juices and breakfast snacks.
10:30 Registration for the competition and trip to the golf course
11:00 – 14:00 Tournament
14:30 Buffet & Prizes at the Mulligan’s Pub

Banyan Golf Course is a new golf course in Hua Hin with 18 holes. It is located among the mountains and has a very beautiful landscape. The designers of the golf course have preserved the natural surroundings. Even though that this is a new golf course, Banyan has already many members.
