June 10, 2008, at 10:00, Thanarat Infantry Center, Pranburi District, Prachuap Khirikhan Province, Maj.Gen. Niwat Meenayothin, the Commander of Infantry Center together with other senior officers has attended the ceremony for the 102nd Anniversary of Thanarat Infantry Center during Jun. 9 – 10, 2008.
Maj.Gen Niwat, the Commander, has presided over the deities worshiping ceremony started on June 9th at 08:15, in front of the Infantry Center’s Head Office. On June 10th from 10:00 a lot of senior retirees from Bangkok have attended the next day ceremony in the Thanarat Infantry Center’s auditorium, while 10 monks were chanting to bless all attendants.
Lt.Gen. Ul Ubon, the Director of Army Training Command, presided over the ceremony on June 10th. He began the ceremony by paying homage to the Buddha image and 10 monks began to chant for blessing by giving 5 precepts. The President of the ceremony donated some money to the monks. After religious ceremony, the President gave a presentation with illustrations on how to assist private sectors, provide knowledge to students and other in various roles.
Next, the Director of Army Training Command was invited on the stage to give military badges to soldiers from Special Forces and to give prizes to the Best Soldiers for 2008.
Finaly, the Director has wished all soldiers success in performing their duties and Maj.Gen. Niwat has invited all senior guests to join him for lunch before going back home.
