Final planning meeting to launch Amazing Prachuap Khiri Khan 2008 campaign


On Friday 21 December 2007 Governor Khun Prasong Pitulkitja, Deputy of Governor Khun Suthipong Terdratanapong, Chief Province Officer Khun Payoong Utin, Hua Hin Chief District Officer Khun Prasit Boonlikit, Hua Hin municipality management staff, police officers, representatives of Hua Hin Hotel and Travel Association have met to discuss final arrangments for the launch of Prachuap Khiri Khan 2008 campaign.

The first subject on the agenda was road traffic arrangement for the opening ceremony. Chief of Traffic Police Lieutenant Major Samer Soodsumrarn has explained that the north side and the south side of the central section of Petchakasem Road cannot be blocked at the same time. If only one side will be blocked it will be easier to control the flow of vehicles. It has been agreed to block one side of Petchakasem Road during 07.30 pm - 01.00 am.

Khun Prasong Pitulkitja has said that would be helpful if people taking part in the parade would be ready waiting before the countdown at 12.00 am. He has informed that on 31st of December 2007 there will be many traditional shows and Luknam band will play during the evening until 01am.

This year in the New Year parade will take part foreign, Karen and Muslim resident. The Karens have a program with dancing shows. Khun Yanyong Kanhahwatana has supported a cheap trade next to the Petchakasem Road.

On 27 December 2007 Governor Khun Prasong Pitulkitja will have a press conference at Government Department regarding the New Year celebrations program in Hua Hin.
