Wing5, 4th Air Division of Air Combat Command Headquarter has cooperated with government sectors of Prachuap Khirikhan Province to held annual memorial ceremony of “December 8th 1941 (A.D. 2484) Heroes” during Dec. 7-13, 2009 at Wing5 historical Park, Prachuap Khirkhan. The objective of the ceremony is to remind and praise brave people of Prachuap Khirkhan and soldiers, the deceased, who bravely were fighting against Japanese troop trying invade Thailand at Manoa Bay during World War II.
During the ceremony, soldiers will take in the parade along main road of Prachuap Khrikhan, Prachuap Khirikahn City Pillar’s Shrine and Heroes Monument before evening party at Central Stage in front of Chao Pho Khao Lom Muak Shrine on 7 Dec. 2009 in Wing5’s area.
On 8th Dec. 2009, there will be merit-making ceremony for soldiers who have died during the battle, at Nithat Museum Building in Wing5 as well as other activities; Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) Exhibition, musical performance from RTAF Band, M 150 Concert, similar voice contest, beauty contest, climbing Lom Muak mountain, small radio-controlled airplane competition, local roosters fighting contest, Red-whiskered Bulbul (birds) contest, sports competition, reasonable-price products and amusement park.
