Hua Hin Health Service
Hua Hin has good health service base. There are two hospitals: San Paulo Hospital and Hua Hin Hospital.
General practitioners, dentists and opticians are readily available. Doctors generally speak good English.
Most general practitioners work at Polyclinics, which offer a walk in service everyday from 8:00am until 9:00pm.
Hospitals also offer a walk in service, where you can see a general practitioner, during the daytime. Both Hua Hin hospitals offer a 24-hour emergency service.
Both Hua Hin hospitals have ambulances but they are mostly used to transfer patients. Emergency ambulance services differ from those found in most western countries.
Emergency numbers are useful if you can speak Thai. If you need help contact the Tourist Police Tel 1155.
In the event of car accident, an ambulance is not always called. In many instances, a passing motorist will take the injured to hospital.
A pharmacies can be found in the centre of Hua Hin or in Hua Hin Market Village. They sell a wide range of medicines produced locally and internationally.
If you have special requirements it is best to consult your doctor at home before you travel to Hua Hin and bring adequate supplies of your medicine with you.
In some cases pharmacies are able to sell you medications that would require a doctors prescription in your home country. All pharmacies close on the 25th of each month.
Hua Hin Massage and SPA
Massage and SPA treatments are very affordable in Hua Hin. There are over 50 massage shops in Hua Hin. All major hotels have SPAs. Number of SPAs are in the centre of Hua Hin.
